Christine Jennings Official Candidate for Congress with 6,400 Signatures Jennings Will Bring Change, Responsibility to Washington announced today that she has qualified to run for the U.S. House of Representatives after collecting over 6,400 signatures from voters around the district. Jennings collected more than the 4,813 signatures necessary to qualify to run for Congress rather than pay a qualifying fee, and they have been certified by election supervisors. Jennings released the following statement: “Today, I am proud to announce that I am an official candidate for U.S. Congress after our campaign gathered over 6,400 signatures from individuals around the district who are ready for a change and want a representative who understands their concerns. “From healthcare to housing costs, Floridians are struggling to get by and worried about the future of our country. Our economy is failing and working Floridians are unable to pay for essentials like gas and groceries. I understand the hardships facing our state and nation, and will focus on those concerns when I get to Congress. “As I mark this next step in my campaign for Congress, people are joining with us because I proudly offer a change for the better, a return to responsibility, and the promise that I can be counted on to do what’s right for Floridians.”
