Former Bradenton Mayor Bill Evers Endorses Christine Jennings for Congress

SARASOTA, FL – April 27, 2008 – Christine Jennings, Democratic candidate for Florida’s 13^th Congressional District, announced today the endorsement of Bill Evers, former Republican mayor of Bradenton. Jennings also announced that Danny Molter, Evers’ former campaign manager, will join the campaign as an advisor.

“Christine Jennings understands the needs of the working families of Bradenton, Manatee County and the 13th Congressional District,” said Evers. “She’ll work hard to address the challenges our country faces and will be a voice of accountability and fiscal discipline. I know Christine, and I know we can trust her to fight for the issues that matter the most to our communities,” he continued.

The involvement of Evers and Molter adds to the already strong support for Jennings in Manatee County. Businessman Ed Chiles, Manatee County resident and son of former Governor Lawton Chiles, serves as the treasurer of the Jennings campaign.
