I’m running for Congress to help solve the many challenges faced by Americans – including the economy, national security, health care, the mortgage crisis and the environment. I believe there are solutions to these challenges. Through community service and a 40-year career as a banker, I worked with people and businesses to help them achieve their needs and their dreams. Those experiences have given me the skills and values needed to work for solutions in Washington.

Honesty, integrity, hard work and keeping my promises – these values are at the heart of who I am. My values helped me work my way up from bank teller at age 17 to the founder, president and CEO of Sarasota Bank. As your next Member of Congress for Florida's 13^th District, you can count on me to take those values to Washington and to be a leader in solving the challenges we face.
